The Energise Story

Recognising that many organisations were looking for help with developing people and

re-invigorating the diversity agenda, Vanessa Boon, a seasoned HR & Diversity practitioner, launched Energise in 2007 to fulfil this need.

The name 'Energise' was chosen because so many other training and diversity programmes out there were struggling and seen as 'dry' and 'legalistic' and 'off-putting' and when Vanessa looked back on feedback forms from her past events she spotted that lots of people liked her 'energetic' and 'inspiring' and 'fun' and 'uplifting' style. And so Energise was born.

Passionate about helping people to achieve their potential, without unfair barriers in the way, Vanessa developed a refreshing, creative and engaging approach which clients really value. As demand grew, Vanessa recruited a talented team of Energise Associates who share the Energise values and style.

With a strong commitment to social inclusion and tackling disadvantge in society, Vanessa had always been involved in volunteering. Through her Energise work she saw an opportunity to support more charities and community groups - the more clients that booked her training & consultancy services, the more she was able to also donate her time and skills to good causes. This 'giftwork' is an important feature of the Energise brand.

As a giftwork enterprise, when you book our services you are also enabling us to donate our time and skills to help our local communities and good causes. Thank you!
